Old Faithful

The last day in Yellowstone we moved to the Old Faithful region and stayed in the Old Faithful Inn directly next to the famous geyser.  The inn is over 100 yrs. old and the original section remains exactly how it was then. Of course we stayed in that part. It is so old that it is all made of wood cut from Yellowstone trees and the bathroom and showers are down the hall like a college dorm. We survived the one night no problem. We watched Old Faithful go off at least 3 times when we were there from different angles. The region is known as the Upper Geyser Basin and there are dozens of other geysers and hot springs all clustered together. They are constantly going off and blowing off steam. It really looks like something from a movie.

Kayla also earned her  first Junior Ranger Patch by completing specific tasks around Yellowstone.
